After graduating from Leicester University with an Honours degree in Psychology, I qualified as a teacher and worked for more than 12 years as a class teacher, special needs specialist and as a SENCO (special needs coordinator) in a large Exeter combined school.
After qualifying as an Educational Psychologist in 1994, I worked for a local education authority before moving into the further education sector.
I was employed at Exeter College for 14 years as an educational psychologist as well as a specialist learning support tutor at the same time as building up my private practice.
I have worked as a consultant psychologist for the Open University and for Dyslexia Action in both their Bath and London centres.
